About the Invasive Species Training Courses
The Invasive Species Centre’s new Training Program is for anyone wanting to learn more about invasive species and their impact to Canada’s ecology, economy, and society.
While everyone is invited to participate in online training, industry professionals can particularly benefit from the technical tools and resources provided throughout each course. Students/young professionals seeking additional education can also benefit.
The initial launch of the online learning program includes two courses that address invasive species issues in forestry, which will be particularly useful for individuals interested in the forest sector, such as foresters, forest managers, private woodlots owners, land managers, arborists, park managers, park groups, municipal work departments, conservation authorities, trails groups, nature reserve managers, students, young professionals and individuals interested in forest health.
As the program expands, we will add courses focused in other areas, including agriculture, aquatics, and more! Be sure to sign up for our email list to be the first to get updates.
How to Purchase
Each course is jam-packed with up-to-the-minute information. While individual courses can be purchased, we also offer memberships to individuals and organizations that wish to have access to all training content. As part of the Invasive Species Centre’s commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and education, we are offering special rates for BIPOC and students – Those interested in a discount code just need to email training@invasivespeciescentre.ca.
Please note that memberships are for the Invasive Species Training Program and will give members access to all courses and resources – the membership is not for the Invasive Species Centre.
Fee Structure:
Single Course (one-time fee): $50 (this rate may vary depending on course length)
Organization Membership (one-time fee): $250 for 5 users

All courses and memberships are valid for one year (365 days) after purchase.
